Two Security Personnel Martyred in Bajaur IED Attack

Two security personnel were martyred, and two others sustained injuries when their vehicle was targeted by a roadside bomb in the hilly area of Salarzai tehsil on Friday evening.

According to sources, the attack took place in Bar Malasaid locality around 6 PM, just before Iftar. The improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near the vehicle, causing severe damage.

Immediate Response

The explosion resulted in two soldiers embracing martyrdom on the spot, while two others were wounded. The injured personnel were quickly shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Security forces and police immediately launched a search operation in the area to trace those responsible for the attack. However, as of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

While the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army’s media wing, had not released an official statement at the time of reporting, the incident has raised serious concerns over security in the region.

Bajaur has witnessed multiple attacks in recent months, with security forces actively working to counter insurgent activities. Authorities are expected to intensify operations to track down the perpetrators.
