On the occasion of World Scout Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the vital role of Scouts in shaping the youth and fostering national service.
In his message, President Zardari paid tribute to Scouts for their contributions to character building, discipline, and perseverance. He emphasized that service is the soul of scouting and encouraged Scouts to take the lead in community initiatives such as tree plantation, literacy programs, and social welfare efforts.
“As Chief Scout, I have full confidence in our youth. They are the future of the nation and will pave the way for a strong and prosperous Pakistan,” President Zardari stated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the significance of scouting, stating that trained scouts play a crucial role in peace and crisis situations. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the Scouting movement in Pakistan and aligning it with Vision 2030 and the Asia Pacific Region of the World Scout Bureau to enhance international collaboration.
The Prime Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to Pakistani Scouts and their global counterparts, honoring the legacy of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scouting movement.
Every year, World Scout Day is observed on February 22 to recognize the contributions of Scouts worldwide in promoting leadership, service, and community engagement.
