Saudi Cabinet Approves Draft MoU with Pakistan for Energy Cooperation

The Saudi cabinet has approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan aimed at enhancing cooperation in the energy sector, according to Arab media reports.

The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday and chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The meeting also saw the approval and signing of several other MoUs with different countries to promote mutual cooperation across various sectors.

According to Saudi media, the cabinet reviewed a range of ongoing and proposed development projects aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. These initiatives are designed to diversify the kingdom’s economy, strengthen key sectors such as energy, and improve the overall quality of life for Saudi citizens.

The proposed MoU with Pakistan reflects the strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, particularly in the energy sector, which remains a key area of strategic collaboration. It is expected that the agreement will pave the way for greater technical cooperation, investment opportunities, and joint initiatives in energy development.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have traditionally maintained close diplomatic and economic relations, and the approval of this draft MoU underscores the shared commitment to deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
