8 Terrorists Killed While Crossing from Afghanistan: Security Forces

Security forces killed eight terrorists who were attempting to infiltrate Pakistan from the Afghanistan border, official sources confirmed on Tuesday.

According to security sources, the action took place in the Loi Mamond tehsil of Bajaur district, a region bordering Afghanistan known for cross-border militant activity. The operation was launched after intelligence indicated that armed militants were trying to enter Pakistani territory.

“An operation was swiftly conducted by the security forces in response to the attempted infiltration. During the engagement, eight terrorists were neutralized,” the sources said.

Following the incident, security forces have sealed all entry and exit points of Loi Mamond tehsil, and a search operation is underway in the surrounding areas to ensure no further threats remain.

While the identities of the terrorists have not yet been disclosed, officials believe they were linked to groups operating from safe havens across the border in Afghanistan.

This is the latest in a series of actions by Pakistani security forces aimed at curbing the recent surge in cross-border attacks and infiltration attempts, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The Pakistan military has repeatedly expressed concerns over the use of Afghan soil by terrorist outfits, urging Kabul to take firm action against militants using its territory to launch attacks on Pakistan.

Security analysts warn that the region remains volatile due to the porous border and presence of several armed factions operating freely in Afghan provinces adjacent to Pakistan’s tribal belt.

The operation reaffirms the resolve of Pakistani security agencies to thwart infiltration attempts and maintain law and order in sensitive border regions.
