The Al-Fajr terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the fatal attack on DSPCTD Ali Raza and his security guard in Karachi's Karimabad area last night. This comes after the group also claimed responsibility for the killing of a policeman in Sohrab village earlier.
In a tragic incident, motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed DSPCTD Ali Raza. His injured security guard, Waqar Ahmed, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. According to police reports, DSP Raza was hit by four bullets, and eleven 9mm pistol shells were found at the scene. One of the two attackers was reportedly wearing a helmet.
DIG CTD Asif Ijaz Shaikh emphasized the bomb-proof nature of DSP Raza’s vehicle and assured that the attackers would not evade capture by the CTD. He noted that DSP Raza was a close associate of Chaudhary Aslam, a renowned police officer known for his work against terrorism.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow and anger over the attack, condemning the violence and vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.
