Gunmen Attack PPP Chairman's Village in Bakhtiarpur, Police Respond

Gunmen attacked the village of Babu Fazal Elahi Banglani, the Chairman of the PPP UC Bakhtiarpur, near Thal, causing panic among the villagers. The assailants opened fire on the village before fleeing the scene. The B Section police responded promptly to the situation and found that the attackers had already escaped.

SHOB B Section Lala Ayaz Pathan confirmed that the gunmen carried out the attack as part of efforts to aid the arrest of their accomplices. "Fazal Elahi Banglani is a respected individual, and we are committed to arresting the culprits behind this attack," said Pathan.

The attack followed a police operation the previous day, where law enforcement raided the homes of suspected criminals involved in the kidnapping of a young man, Mujahid Lashari. During the raid, some suspects were apprehended, and several houses were set on fire in an attempt to intimidate the criminals. In retaliation, the attackers targeted Banglani’s village.

Babu Fazal Elahi Banglani expressed his concerns, calling for the swift arrest of the attackers and the provision of security for the villagers. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that such acts of violence do not repeat.

The police have vowed to pursue the criminals responsible for the attack and provide the necessary protection to the residents of Bakhtiarpur. Law enforcement authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, with hopes of making arrests soon.
