Man Killed in Johi After Alleged Dispute Over Court Marriage

Tragedy struck the village of Khair Muhammad Mugheri near Johi when Khair Muhammad Mugheri, a local resident, was shot while buying household goods near Johi Degree College. The victim was critically injured and rushed to Johi Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His death has raised suspicions of foul play, as the victim's family believes the killing is linked to a past court marriage dispute.

According to the Johi police, raids were conducted on the homes of the accused based on the statement provided by the victim’s heirs. However, by the time law enforcement arrived, all the male members of the accused families had fled the village. Police are continuing their efforts to arrest the suspects involved in the crime.

The victim's father, Ghulam Muhammad Mugheri, expressed deep concern and suspicion regarding his son's death. He revealed that Khair Muhammad had married a woman through a court procedure a year ago. Following the marriage, a fine of Rs. 1 million was imposed as part of a settlement, but Ghulam Muhammad believes that the fine did not prevent the tragic outcome. He suspects that the same family members might have been involved in his son’s murder.

As the investigation continues, authorities are focusing on the familial disputes surrounding the marriage as a possible motive for the killing. The community remains in shock, and police are hopeful that they will soon apprehend the culprits involved in this tragic incident.
