The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has formally indicted 252 accused persons in the high-profile May 9 Jinnah House attack case, including notable figures such as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ijaz Chaudhry and former Punjab Governor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema.
The indictment hearing took place under tight security at Kot Lakhpat Jail, where the accused were produced before the ATC judge. The court was informed that during the trial, five accused had died, and nine others had been declared absconders.
With the indictment complete, the court has set the stage for the regular trial to commence. The next hearing date has been fixed, and witnesses have been summoned to present their testimonies.
