Army Has Zero Tolerance for Threats to National Security: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding threats to national security, stressing that the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity remains the foremost mission of the Pakistan Army.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Lahore Garrison, where he was briefed on the formation’s operational preparedness.

During the visit, the Field Marshal reviewed ongoing training exercises and emphasized the importance of preparedness, innovation and adaptability in view of future warfare challenges. He appreciated the emphasis on modern training methods and commended the sports and recreational facilities provided to soldiers, terming them vital for maintaining morale and physical fitness.

The ISPR said that the Chief of Defence Forces also visited the High Care Centre at CMH Lahore, where he lauded the dedication, professionalism and services of the medical staff and administration.

Addressing officers at the Lahore Garrison, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to deal with all kinds of challenges and threats to the country.

“There is zero tolerance for threats to national security. Protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is the first and foremost mission of the Pakistan Army,” he said.

The Field Marshal stated that the Armed Forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability. He added that the forces continue to uphold high professional standards, discipline and a spirit of selfless national service.

He further said that the Pakistan Army possesses the full capacity to adapt to modern operational requirements, adding that the physical fitness, morale and welfare of soldiers remain top priorities.
