Audio Leak Exposes PTI KPK President Junaid Akbar’s Criticism of Party Officials

An alleged audio leak of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has emerged, in which he expresses his frustration over false information spread by party officials about the Swabi rally. In the audio, Junaid Akbar accuses 90 percent of PTI’s officials of providing inaccurate reports about the rally’s turnout and other key details.

According to Junaid Akbar, many members of the party’s assembly (MPAs, MNAs) and other officials made misleading statements, claiming inflated numbers of rally participants. He called this behavior “shameful” and vowed to submit a report to PTI founder Imran Khan, detailing the discrepancies.

Frustration Over Misleading Claims

Junaid Akbar, in the audio, revealed that he has access to detailed reports about the rally, even knowing specifics about individual participants, including what they were wearing. He expressed anger over party officials sending him videos of events in Islamabad and other locations, falsely claiming the rally’s success. He questioned, “Do I seem stupid to them?”

Internal Party Issues and Grouping

The PTI KPK President also criticized the internal grouping within the party, stating that wrong individuals were being supported. However, he made it clear that he would not back anyone who was wrong, regardless of their stature in the party.

Akbar emphasized the importance of consultation in decision-making, stating that no single person should make decisions for the entire party. He also revealed that while he had no desire to hold onto his position, he would gladly relinquish the role if the responsibility was removed from him.

Call for Internal Party Reforms

Junaid Akbar stressed the need for PTI to be organized internally and promised to play his role in bringing about transparency and honesty. He warned that if these principles were not adopted, he would not remain part of the party leadership.
