Bilal Farooq Tarar Declared Winner of NA-66 By-Election Unopposed

PML-N leader Bilal Farooq Tarar has been elected unopposed as a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) in the NA-66 by-election, following the disqualification of PTI candidate Ahmed Chatha.

The Returning Officer officially issued Form-34, notifying Bilal Farooq Tarar’s victory in accordance with Section 75(1) of the Election Act, 2017.

The NA-66 constituency has 648,872 registered voters. After Ahmed Chatha’s disqualification, Bilal Farooq Tarar submitted his nomination papers, and all other candidates subsequently withdrew in his favor, leading to his uncontested win.


PTI Boycott and Electoral Process

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had earlier announced a boycott of the NA-66 by-election, citing political reasons. Following the completion of formalities, the notification of Bilal Farooq Tarar’s victory has been forwarded to the Election Commission of Pakistan.


Bilal Farooq Tarar’s Statement

Speaking after his uncontested win, Bilal Farooq Tarar described the victory as an expression of public trust and pledged to focus on the development of his constituency and welfare of the people.

“I will play a full role in ensuring progress and public service for the residents of NA-66,” he said.
