day, officials confirmed.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. “When the CTD team reached the location, they were attacked by the terrorists but retaliated promptly, resulting in the deaths of 10 terrorists,” the statement read.

Security forces recovered a large cache of heavy ammunition and weapons from the slain militants. Authorities believe the terrorists were members of a banned outfit and had previously been involved in multiple attacks targeting security personnel in Balochistan.

The identities of the deceased militants are yet to be confirmed. Their bodies have been shifted to a hospital for identification, while investigations into their network and links are ongoing.

The deadly operation came just a day after a suicide car blast near the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Quetta, which claimed the lives of 10 people, including four security personnel.

Balochistan has seen a significant rise in terrorist activity in recent months. Insurgent groups, particularly the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), have intensified attacks, adopting more lethal tactics to target Pakistani forces.

Officials reaffirmed that counter-terror operations will continue across the province to neutralize the growing militant threat.
