Security forces foiled a major terror bid in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, arresting four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the ISPR, the operation was carried out following reports of the presence of Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists in the area. During the raid, four militants were apprehended while attempting to flee.
In a surprising tactic, the terrorists had disguised themselves as women in an effort to escape security cordons. However, they were overpowered and arrested. Security forces also seized a cache of arms and ammunition from their possession.
The ISPR stated that the captured militants were involved in several terrorist activities in the province and posed a serious threat to peace and stability.
“A clearance operation is still underway to eliminate the presence of any remaining terrorists in the area. The arrested terrorists will be brought to justice at all costs,” the ISPR affirmed.
Security analysts believe the operation highlights both the persistence of terrorist networks in Balochistan and the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces to dismantle them.
The development comes amid heightened counterterrorism measures across the country, as security forces continue intelligence-driven actions to prevent future attacks and ensure stability in the region.
