Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which both leaders discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East and broader regional developments.
According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders exchanged views on rising tensions in the region and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to ensure peace and stability. Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement and efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peaceful solutions.
The Iranian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at bringing stability to the region. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining close coordination on regional and international matters.
The discussion comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with Pakistan actively engaging global and regional partners to support peace efforts and reduce conflict escalation.
