ECP Issues Final Deadline for PTI to Submit Arguments in Tribunal Change Case

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has provided Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with a final opportunity to submit its arguments regarding the change of tribunal for three constituencies. A three-member bench of the ECP, chaired by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani, presided over the hearing, with junior counsel representing PTI.

During the proceedings, the PTI’s legal representative requested additional time, citing difficulties in attendance due to ongoing road closures across the capital. The ECP, however, made it clear that PTI must submit its response and arguments by October 9, warning that no further extensions would be granted.

“The final deadline is October 9, and a decision will be made thereafter,” the ECP bench remarked. The hearing has now been adjourned until that date.

The case, which involves a request to change the tribunal for three constituencies, holds significant importance as the PTI seeks to challenge the Election Commission's decisions. The October 9 deadline now looms as a critical moment for the party to present its stance before the Commission moves forward with its verdict.

This development comes amid ongoing political tensions, and the outcome of this tribunal case could impact the party's future electoral strategies.
