ECP Schedules Hearings for Three Code of Conduct Cases

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a hearing schedule for three significant cases related to the code of conduct for public representatives and candidates.

The commission has fixed January 20 for the hearing of the code of conduct violation case against Sohail Khan Afridi. On the same day, cases against Babar Nawaz Khan and Shafiullah Jan, the latter for making statements against the Election Commission, will also be heard.

According to sources, the ECP will review these cases thoroughly, allowing the parties involved to present their arguments before taking any action. The outcomes of these hearings are expected to provide guidance on adherence to the election code of conduct in the future.

“These cases are considered important as they set precedents for the behavior of public representatives and candidates in line with electoral rules,” sources added.

The commission’s decisions may influence how code of conduct violations are addressed in upcoming elections and ensure accountability among political figures.
