Federal Secretary Information Ashfaq Khalil Given Additional Charge of MD PTV

Federal Secretary Information Ashfaq Khalil has been given the additional charge of Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television (PTV) for a period of three months, according to an official notification issued with the approval of the Prime Minister.

The temporary assignment allows Khalil to oversee the operations and management of PTV until a permanent MD is appointed. Prior to this formal notification, Khalil had already been performing the responsibilities of MD PTV alongside his duties as Federal Secretary Information.

The Prime Minister’s decision comes as part of administrative arrangements to ensure the smooth functioning of the state-run media organization. The Secretary Information will continue to manage PTV’s affairs during this interim period, overseeing its operational, administrative, and strategic matters.

This development is aimed at maintaining continuity and stability within Pakistan Television, which plays a crucial role in public broadcasting and information dissemination across the country.
