Pakistan Stability Party Condemns Forced Hijab Removal in Bihar

The Pakistan Stability Party (PSP) has strongly condemned the forcible removal of a Muslim woman doctor’s hijab during an official ceremony in Bihar, India, describing the incident as “extremely regrettable” and a violation of human dignity.

In a resolution submitted in response to the act, the PSP criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him “an appointee of Modi with no understanding of morality” and attributing the incident to India’s broader pattern of discrimination against minorities, particularly Muslim women.

The resolution described the act of removing a woman’s hijab as morally unacceptable and beyond the bounds of civilized society. It urged Nitish Kumar to issue an apology to Muslim women at the international level for the incident.

Furthermore, the PSP called on international human rights organizations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take action against India, asserting solidarity with the affected female doctor.

The move highlights ongoing concerns regarding minority rights in India and underscores Pakistan’s political parties’ sensitivity to religious and gender-based discrimination in the region.
