The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, has approved the appointment of nine additional judges for the Lahore High Court (LHC).

The meeting, held in Islamabad, finalized the names after a thorough review and consultation.

Approved Appointments:
According to official sources, the following individuals have been approved for appointment as additional judges of the Lahore High Court:

  1. Khalid Ishaq
  2. Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood
  3. Jawad Zafar
  4. Sardar Akbar Ali Dogar
  5. Owais Khalid
  6. Malik Javed Iqbal
  7. Hassan Nawaz Makhdoom
  8. Ahsan Raza Kazmi
  9. Malik Waqar Haider Awan

These appointments aim to strengthen the judicial capacity of the Lahore High Court to handle an increasing number of cases and improve the delivery of justice.

The Judicial Commission plays a pivotal role in appointing judges to higher courts, ensuring that only qualified and competent individuals serve the judiciary.
