JUI (F) Supports Election Commission's Position on Specific Seats in Supreme Court

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) has affirmed its support for the Election Commission's stance regarding specific seats in the Supreme Court. During a hearing in the Supreme Court pertaining to the allocation of seats for the Sunni Ittehad Council, JUI (F) lawyer Kamran Murtaza stated that his party is adopting the Election Commission's position in the case.

Responding to queries from the bench, Justice Jamal Mandukhel questioned the adequacy of the Election Commission's actions. In a light-hearted exchange, Kamran Murtaza humorously replied affirmatively, stating, "Yes, the Election Commission has worked perfectly."

Justice Muneeb Akhtar referred to a recent press conference by Maulana Fazlur Rehman where a different stance was purportedly taken, highlighting apparent discrepancies in the party's public statements versus its legal position in court.

The Supreme Court hearing continues to address concerns related to the allocation of specific seats and the Election Commission's role in ensuring fairness and adherence to electoral processes.
