Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has revealed the lineup of his new cabinet, comprising 15 ministers and five advisers. The announcement follows a meeting between CM Gandapur and PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where discussions included the formation of the provincial cabinet.
The appointed ministers are Arshad Ayub Khan, Shakeel Ahmad, Fazal Hakim Khan, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Aqibullah Khan, Muhammad Sajjad, Meena Khan, Fazal Shakoor, Nazir Ahmad Abbasi, Pakhtoon Yar Khan, Aftab Alam Khan Afridi, Khaleequr Rehman, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Faisal Khan Tarakai, and Muhammad Zahir Shah.
Additionally, advisers to the chief minister include Syed Fakhar Jehan, Muzamil Aslam, Muhammad Ali Saif, Mashal Azam, and Zahid Chanzeb.
The summary regarding the cabinet appointments was sent to KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and subsequently approved, with the official notification issued. The swearing-in ceremony for the cabinet members is anticipated to take place later in the evening.
While CM Gandapur emphasized the PTI's commitment to maintaining a working relationship with the federal government, he expressed no inclination towards reconciliation with the Shehbaz Sharif-led PML-N government, alleging that it was formed through the "stealing of seats."
The new cabinet formation follows the PTI-backed independents' significant victory in KP, securing over 85 of the 115 general seats in the provincial assembly. With the oath administered to around 115 MPAs in the maiden session of the KP Assembly last week, the provincial government is now fully operational after a hiatus of more than 13 months. #KPKCabinet #PTI #PakistanGovernment
