Malir: A heart-wrenching accident near Matin Complex, Shah Latif Town, Malir, left a family shattered when a speeding dumper crushed two siblings, Hasnain (24) and Hijab (13), who were on their way to celebrate a recent achievement in martial arts.
The siblings, both bright and promising individuals, were riding a motorcycle when the dumper hit them, killing them on the spot. Hasnain, an Inter student, was the only son of his parents, while his sister Hijab, a seventh-grade student, had recently secured first place in a martial arts competition.
According to family friend Syed Omais, Hasnain had planned a dinner outing to celebrate his sister's victory. "They were filled with joy after her win. We can't believe they are gone," Omais said, expressing grief over the tragic incident.
The lifeless bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem. The tragedy has left the community in shock and the family devastated.
Bloody Dumpers: A Growing Concern
This incident highlights the increasing danger posed by reckless dumper drivers on Karachi's roads. Residents in the Shah Latif area have repeatedly raised concerns about the unchecked speeding and negligence of heavy vehicles.
