Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Aun Chaudhry, recently visited the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by a delegation from the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF). During the visit, he met with Pakistani Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan at the Pakistani Embassy to discuss challenges faced by Pakistani expatriates in the UAE and explore possible solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Aun Chaudhry highlighted the strong and friendly relations between Pakistan and the UAE, calling the Gulf nation a “reliable and brotherly country.” He emphasized the importance of enhancing diplomatic and legal mechanisms to ensure the welfare of Pakistani communities abroad and to resolve their issues promptly.
The Minister assured the expatriate community that the Government of Pakistan is committed to protecting their rights and expanding facilities for their benefit. He also noted that all possible steps would be taken to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries further.
The visit underscores Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to engage with its diaspora, address their concerns, and maintain strong ties with countries hosting significant Pakistani populations.
