Missing PTI Chief Security Officer Umar Sultan Returns; Court Orders Independent Investigation

Umar Sultan, the former chief security officer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has returned home following his disappearance. The development came as the Islamabad High Court heard a petition regarding his recovery.

During the court session, Chief Justice Amir Farooq was informed by the petitioner's lawyer that Sultan had returned but was not well enough to appear in court. The lawyer stated that while Sultan was now back, there was a need for an independent investigation into his disappearance. An FIR has been registered in connection with the case.

Chief Justice Farooq inquired about the petitioner's current request given Sultan's return. The lawyer emphasized the need for a thorough and unbiased investigation to determine the circumstances of Sultan's disappearance.

In response, the court directed that an independent investigation be carried out and subsequently disposed of the case concerning Sultan's recovery. The focus will now be on uncovering the details surrounding his disappearance and ensuring that justice is served.
