In a tragic turn of events, Multan police on Thursday arrested Aun Ashraf, a law enforcement officer, for the cold-blooded murder of school teacher Safoora Taimur in the city’s New Shah Shams Colony. According to the police, Safoora was on her way to school when the suspect, who had been trailing her, attacked her near 7:30am. CCTV footage of the incident shows the suspect following the teacher closely for some time before pulling out a gun and shooting her in the head. The victim died on the spot, and the suspect fled the scene after stealing her mobile phone.

Footage from nearby CCTV cameras, aired on multiple news channels, captured the horrifying moment of the attack. The video revealed that Safoora, aware of being followed, turned to glance at the suspect several times before he fatally shot her.

In a swift response, Multan’s Central Police Officer, Sadiq Ali Dogar, ordered the formation of special teams to trace the suspect. The police utilized technical resources to track down Aun Ashraf, who was identified as an employee of a law enforcement agency. A case was registered at the Shah Shams police station.
