NAB Files New Tosha Khana Reference Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has intensified its legal pursuit of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, by filing a new Tosha Khana reference in Islamabad's accountability court. The reference, consisting of two detailed volumes, was submitted by NAB investigation officer Mohsin Haroon and case officer Waqar Al Hasan.

According to sources, the newly filed reference is now under review by the Registrar of the Accountability Court. Once the objections, if any, are addressed, the reference will be forwarded to the Administrative Judge of the Accountability Court. The judge, Nasir Javed Rana, who is already presiding over the £190 million reference, will then determine whether to retain the case or transfer it to another accountability court.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were interrogated by NAB in Adiala Jail, where they were detained on July 13. Both individuals remained in NAB custody for 37 days during the investigation, after which they were judicially remanded on August 19. NAB had earlier provided a questionnaire to the accused, and they have since submitted their responses.

The filing of this reference marks a significant development in the ongoing Tosha Khana case, with further legal proceedings expected in the coming days.
