POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
A new case has been registered against senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including party founder Bushra Bibi, Ali Amin Gandapur, and others, at the Sadiqabad police station in Rawalpindi.
The case has been filed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), with charges including intent to murder, interference in official duties, and various other offenses.
The list of individuals named in the case includes prominent PTI figures such as Aleema Khan, Omar Ayub, Hammad Azhar, Asad Qaiser, Arif Alvi, Khursheed Khan, and several other party leaders and activists.
The charges stem from the violent protests that occurred in Islamabad, where PTI leadership is accused of inciting unrest and engaging in acts that posed a threat to public safety and law enforcement.
This case adds to the mounting legal challenges facing PTI leaders amid ongoing political tensions and protests.
