Non-Bailable Warrants Issued for Fawad Chaudhry in Land Transfer Case

The Special Anti-Corruption Court (SACC) in Rawalpindi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in connection with a land transfer case. The decision was taken during a hearing conducted by Judge Khawar Rashid, who expressed strong displeasure over Chaudhry’s repeated failure to appear in court despite summons.

In a related development, the hearing of a separate fraud case against the former federal minister has been adjourned until January 22. Meanwhile, the Sessions Court in Islamabad accepted Chaudhry’s exemption application, allowing him temporary relief from appearing in court.

Additionally, a case has been registered against Fawad Chaudhry at the Aabpara police station in Islamabad, further escalating legal proceedings against the former minister.

The issuance of non-bailable warrants marks a significant step in ongoing anti-corruption investigations involving prominent political figures and highlights the judiciary’s insistence on accountability.
