The joint military exercise “Shaheen Strike II” between Pakistan and Indonesia concluded on Tuesday, marking a significant step in bilateral defense cooperation. The exercise, held from November 8 to 19, focused on counter-terrorism operations, with full participation from combat teams of both nations.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), all training objectives were successfully achieved, demonstrating the high professionalism and operational efficiency of the soldiers involved. The closing ceremony was attended by Pakistani general-rank officers and senior Indonesian military officials.
The exercise emphasized urban counter-terrorism operations, including improvised explosive device (IED) counter-measures, and developing drills and procedures to enhance joint operational readiness.
The ISPR highlighted that the joint exercise strengthens military cooperation, fosters interoperability, and provides valuable experience in modern counter-terrorism tactics, contributing to regional peace and security.
