Pakistan Reaffirms Quaid-e-Azam’s Policy on Israel: Law Minister

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, while addressing the National Assembly on Monday, reaffirmed that Pakistan’s position on Israel is rooted in the national policy set by the country’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Tarar stated that Pakistan’s stance on the Palestinian issue is clear and unwavering, describing it as a matter of faith for the nation. “The first Qibla of Muslims is in Palestine. Our connection is spiritual and unshakable,” he remarked during the assembly session.

Highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the law minister condemned the relentless Israeli bombardment and atrocities. He cited alarming figures: over 65,000 Palestinians martyred, 130,000 injured, and more than 15,000 missing in the last 17 months. “Israel is targeting women, children, and civilians—this is outright genocide,” he said.

He also pointed out the complete destruction of Gaza's infrastructure and criticized the global silence on Israeli aggression. “Some countries continue to remain silent despite the horrific situation in Gaza,” Tarar lamented.

In a show of solidarity, he noted that Pakistan is extending humanitarian aid to Palestinians beyond its means and has facilitated the arrival and education of Palestinian medical students in the country.

“The Quaid’s stance on Israel was clear, and this government stands by that national policy,” Tarar emphasized. He further reiterated Pakistan’s call for resolving both the Kashmir and Palestine issues in line with United Nations resolutions.

The law minister also welcomed South Africa’s move to take Israel to the International Court of Justice, calling it a significant step toward international accountability.
