A total of 56 homes have been damaged across affected areas of the province. Of these, 50 were partially damaged while 6 homes were completely destroyed, rendering multiple families homeless.
The PDMA stated that flood conditions were experienced at Khwaza Khela in the Swat River over the past 24 hours, raising concern about further deterioration in water levels.
Alerts Issued for Nowshera and Charsadda
Given the ongoing risk of flooding, the PDMA has issued alerts to the district administrations of Nowshera and Charsadda, urging them to implement preventive and emergency preparedness measures.
Authorities have been instructed to ensure the availability of emergency response equipment, early warning systems, and safe evacuation procedures to mitigate loss of life and property.
Ongoing Monitoring and Public Advisory
The PDMA continues to monitor the situation in real-time and is coordinating with local bodies for swift response. Citizens are advised to avoid low-lying areas, stay away from swollen rivers and streams, and report emergencies to local helplines.
With monsoon rains forecasted to continue in the coming days, officials have warned that flood threats remain high, particularly in vulnerable mountainous and riverine regions.
