PM Shehbaz Sharif Invites PPP to Join New Cabinet as Part of Coalition Expansion

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to join the new cabinet. Sources indicate that senior political leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and allied parties will also be included in the cabinet reshuffle.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has been entrusted with the crucial task of negotiating with the PPP leadership regarding their participation and the allocation of ministries. Ongoing consultations aim to finalize the details before presenting the proposal to the PPP's Central Executive Committee (CEC).

Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent meeting with the President, Ahsan Iqbal has actively engaged in talks, including contacting Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira. This outreach is part of a broader effort to ensure a smooth and collaborative transition for the new cabinet members.

The inclusion of the PPP in the cabinet is expected to bolster the coalition's stability and enhance governance amid ongoing political challenges. The final decision will be deliberated upon in the upcoming CEC meeting of the PPP, which will play a crucial role in shaping the new cabinet's composition and direction.

As the political landscape evolves, this development marks a significant step towards fostering greater cooperation among Pakistan's major political parties, aiming for a more unified approach to governance and national development.
