POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Chairman of PTI, Barrister Gohar, on Tuesday stressed the importance of peace and transparency in political affairs, warning that government bias could exacerbate tensions.
Addressing the media, Barrister Gohar said there is currently no contact with the establishment, but added that if any communication occurs, the party will not conceal it.
He emphasized the constitutional and legal right of PTI leaders to meet the party’s founder, Imran Khan, noting that attempts were being made to meet the Chief Justice of Pakistan, although the judiciary’s schedule has been busy.
On allegations against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Gohar said: “The KP government should refrain from actions that invite criticism, and those making allegations must provide evidence.”
The PTI chairman underlined that while the party favors peace and order, any one-sided support by the government against political opponents could further destabilize the situation.
