PTI Lawyers Absent in Rawalpindi ATC, Hearing on Imran Khan Petitions Deferred

The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday witnessed the absence of all lawyers representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in hearings of two petitions filed in his name.

The petitions, submitted by Aleema Khan and Salman Akram Raja, sought early hearings regarding meetings with Imran Khan and the de-freezing of the Shaukat Khanum Hospital account. Notices had been issued to the concerned parties for today’s proceedings, but no PTI lawyer appeared in court.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah and the prosecution team were present, with Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah highlighting that PTI lawyers had remained absent despite the petitions being filed and notices issued. He criticized the situation, noting that “propaganda is done on social media, yet no one appears in court.”

Due to the absence of PTI representation, the court adjourned the hearing of both petitions until December 1, 2025.

The development underscores ongoing legal proceedings surrounding Imran Khan and his party, amid continued public and media attention on the PTI leader’s legal matters.
