Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced that the provincial government will start giving jobs on merit from next week.

Speaking to the media at the Press Club in Bhan Syedabad, Murad Ali Shah also mentioned the ongoing alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) after the elections, stating that the government is progressing in this regard.

On the issue of the Governor of Sindh, he said that while he had heard statements about the replacement of Governor Kamran Khan Tesori, the authority to appoint governors rests with the Prime Minister, who recommends the appointment to the President.

The CM also expressed concern over the rising sugar prices. He said that the matter had been discussed with the Chief Secretary in the morning, and steps are being taken to control sugar prices in the province.

Murad Ali Shah further emphasized that discussions will remain focused on national interests, and nothing will be prioritized before the 28th Amendment.
