POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Salman Akram Raja, while speaking to media at the Gorakhpur checkpoint, condemned the secret transfer of the founder to a hospital, claiming that no contact had been made with the family or party regarding the third injection administered.
Raja stated that as long as the family and personal physician are denied access, no actions taken against the founder can be considered legitimate. He added that Sohail Afridi has announced a movement demanding the founder’s release, and that the founder has entrusted full authority to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas.
He emphasised that the movement represents the interests of the entire country, and asserted a principled stance on ongoing Middle East tensions. Raja called for peaceful resolution, acceptance of Iran’s legitimate rights, protection of Muslim countries in the region, and justice for Palestinians.
Turning to domestic issues, Raja criticised constitutional and legal violations in Pakistan, saying his party has consistently stood for constitutional supremacy over the past three years. He also expressed concerns about attacks on the electoral process and reiterated support for Muslim unity.
“We consider Pakistan’s economic development inevitable. We have approached every court and will continue to do so,” Raja said, stressing that the party remains committed to peaceful protests to achieve its objectives.
He criticised the Prime Minister for not meeting opposition leaders, noting that Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas had multiple opportunities to meet with him, which were deliberately ignored.
Raja concluded by reiterating that the movement will continue in a lawful and peaceful manner, defending both constitutional rights and broader regional interests.
