Security Forces Eliminate 4 “Indian Proxy” Terrorists in Khuzdar IBO: ISPR

Security forces successfully eliminated four terrorists linked to an Indian-backed network during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted on September 17 after reports of the presence of terrorists affiliated with “Fitna al-Hindustan” – a state-designated term for Balochistan-based groups allegedly funded and supported by India.

“Own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense exchange of fire, four Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the ISPR statement said. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.

The slain militants were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. A sanitisation operation is currently underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s determination, the ISPR added: “Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.”

This marks the second major counter-terrorism operation in Khuzdar this week. Just a day earlier, five “Indian-sponsored terrorists” were killed in a similar IBO in the same district. Meanwhile, separate attacks were reported on two police stations and a Levies post in Sherani district, where one policeman was martyred and two Levies personnel were injured.

Earlier this month, on September 12, security forces also killed four Indian-backed terrorists during another operation in Mastung.

Pakistan’s armed forces have stepped up counter-terrorism efforts in Balochistan, a region that has witnessed repeated attempts at destabilisation. Officials stress that the operations will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
