Senator Irfan Siddiqui met with Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Jati Umra, where he provided a comprehensive briefing on the PML-N parliamentary party's performance in the Senate.
During the meeting, Senator Siddiqui highlighted the progress made by the party’s parliamentary members and discussed key initiatives, including a recent resolution expressing a unanimous commitment to defend Pakistan. According to sources, the resolution was a collaborative effort among all political parties, promoting a sense of unity and reinforcing parliamentary cooperation.
Nawaz Sharif, while discussing the resolution, emphasized the importance of democracy and the role of parliamentarians in fostering national unity. He remarked that dissent is a natural and valuable aspect of democratic processes, contributing to a healthy and inclusive political system. Nawaz added that parliamentarians’ positive role would help create a spirit of consensus and harmony among the people, essential for the country’s stability.
