Sher Afzal Marwat Says PTI Has Forgotten Its Narrative

Member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat on Saturday strongly criticized his own party, saying that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has lost sight of its original narrative and has shown no real struggle since November 26.

Speaking to the media at a local hotel in Karachi, Marwat said, “PTI has not been able to organize a single rally since November 26. There is no struggle. The people who talk about revolution are roaming around in America and Canada.”

He also pointed out that May 9 is approaching again, questioning what preparations PTI has made for the date that remains politically significant due to the events of 2023.

Criticizing the lack of access to the PTI founder, Marwat said that not allowing female relatives and lawyers to meet him is a wrongful and shameful practice. “The government is not taking the issues of PTI and its founder seriously,” he added.

Turning to the rising tensions between Pakistan and India, Marwat stressed the need for national unity. “India's attitude is extremely aggressive. In such circumstances, we must forget our internal differences and unite for the sake of the country,” he stated.

Sher Afzal Marwat’s remarks once again highlight growing internal divisions within PTI and raise questions about the party’s future direction, especially as it navigates a complex legal and political environment.
