Sher Afzal Marwat Rejects Expulsion from PTI, Blames Salman Akram Raja

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat has dismissed his expulsion from the party, blaming senior leader Salman Akram Raja and his associates for orchestrating the move.

Marwat alleged that his expulsion was unjustified and that the party leadership had no clear answer for its decision.

"My party doesn't have an answer as to why I was expelled. This is all the fault of Salman Akram Raja and his associates," he asserted.

Accusations Against Party Leadership

Marwat claimed that PTI is being influenced by unelected individuals who have surrounded the party's founder and are manipulating decisions through private conversations.

"The party members who sold their votes and conscience remain untouched, while I was removed for speaking against hereditary politics," he said.

He alleged that decisions were being made based on whispers rather than merit, criticizing the party's internal dynamics.

Targeting Salman Akram Raja

The expelled lawmaker specifically named Salman Akram Raja, calling him a "de facto Secretary General" and a "usurper" who gained the position through recommendations from influential figures.

"Salman Akram Raja claims to be the Secretary General, but he is there only because of his connections, not his credentials," Marwat said, vowing to respond to those who "propagated against him."

Defiant Return

Despite the expulsion, Marwat remained confident about his political future within PTI.

"Lies have no legs. I will return to the party very soon," he declared.

PTI's Stance

It is worth noting that Marwat’s expulsion was ordered by party founder Imran Khan for violating party policy. However, the official statement did not provide specific details regarding the alleged violation.

Background

Sher Afzal Marwat has been a vocal critic of internal party practices, particularly concerning hereditary politics. His removal has sparked debate within PTI ranks, with supporters divided over the decision.
