Terrorist Attack on Police Mobile in Kohat Leaves One Policeman Injured

A terrorist attack on a police mobile occurred in the Shadipur area of Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, leaving one police officer injured. The attackers used hand grenades in the assault, targeting the police vehicle.

According to local police sources, the incident took place when the police mobile was passing through the area. The explosion resulted in injuries to one policeman, though his condition is reported to be stable.

Retaliatory Action and Arrests

In response to the attack, the police launched a swift retaliatory operation. During the encounter, one terrorist was killed, and several others were arrested. Law enforcement officials also recovered a cache of weapons, including hand grenades, from the possession of the arrested terrorists.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) confirmed the details of the attack and the successful operation carried out by the police forces.

"The prompt response from our officers led to the elimination of one terrorist and the arrest of several others. Weapons and grenades were also recovered from the suspects," the RPO said.

Investigation and Security Measures

The authorities have initiated an investigation into the attack, looking into the identities of the arrested terrorists and any potential links to larger militant networks operating in the region.
