Three people were shot dead on Monday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a jewellery shop in Hub’s Rind Market, according to police officials.
Hub Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Syed Fazil Bukhari confirmed the fatalities, identifying the victims as:
- Khuda Baksh (shop owner)

“All three bodies have been shifted to Hub Sal Hospital,” SSP Bukhari said, adding that an investigation is underway to determine whether it was a targeted attack or a case of robbery.
Recent Surge in Violence in Balochistan
This incident comes just days after seven people were shot dead in Barkhan district. Unidentified gunmen stopped a passenger bus, forcibly off-loaded the victims, and executed them.
Additionally, in December 2024, six people—including a woman—were killed in separate shooting and traffic incidents across Balochistan.
Law enforcement agencies are on high alert, and authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
