Trump Denies Peace Talks with Iran, Seeks Real End to Conflict

Former US President Donald Trump has firmly denied engaging in any peace talks with Iran, emphasizing his desire for a definitive resolution to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Speaking on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that he is seeking more than just a ceasefire in Iran. He expressed his aim for a genuine end to the conflict, underlining that Iran should have accepted the agreement previously offered to them.

During a conversation with journalists on his flight from Canada to Washington following the G7 summit, Trump reiterated that he is currently not in a mood to engage in dialogue with Iran. “I have not contacted Iran for peace talks in any way, shape or form,” he said.

An American journalist accompanying the President noted that Trump’s stance is for complete Iranian surrender and resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue. The journalist added that Israel’s military activities against Iran have not diminished, and efforts are underway to evacuate Americans from the Middle East amid rising tensions.

Interestingly, Trump mentioned the possibility of sending envoys such as Steve Witkoff or Vance to Iran for potential talks, though he clarified no current negotiations are taking place.

This firm stance by Trump highlights ongoing complexities in US-Iran relations and the broader geopolitical struggle in the Middle East.
