7-Year-Old Boy Dies in Orangi Town Stabbing Incident, Mother and Sister in Critical Condition

A tragic stabbing incident occurred in Karachi’s Orangi Town on Wednesday, leaving a seven-year-old boy dead and his mother and younger sister critically injured. According to police, the victims were discovered inside their home near Liaqat School, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The police identified the deceased boy as Subhan, aged 7, who succumbed to his injuries shortly after being rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Subhan sustained severe head trauma during the attack, which led to bleeding from his nose and ears, according to Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed.

Subhan's five-year-old sister, Aleeza, and their mother, Rimsha, 30, were also injured in the attack and are currently undergoing treatment. Dr. Syed shared that both Aleeza and Rimsha are in serious condition. Aleeza suffered head and facial trauma, while her mother sustained multiple deep cuts to her face and skull.

Police Investigation Underway

The Orangi Town Police Station confirmed that the initial investigation suggests the crime may be linked to a personal enmity, with a close relative suspected to be involved. "The suspect reportedly called and informed about the incident," a police statement revealed. The police are working on leads provided by the victim's family, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Tariq Elahi Mastoi has assembled a team to locate and apprehend the suspect.

At the crime scene, officers from the operations and investigations team, along with the Crime Scene Unit (CSU), were seen collecting evidence. The deputy superintendent of police for Orangi is overseeing the investigation and ensuring the timely arrest of the suspect.

Previous Incident Raises Alarm

This stabbing comes just days after another brutal incident in Karachi, where four female family members were found murdered in their apartment in Lea Market. Their throats had been slit, and police arrested a close relative in connection with the killings later that evening. The discovery of these murders has fueled public fear and highlighted a disturbing pattern of violent crimes in the city.

Karachi's Senior Superintendent of Police, Arif Aziz, said the quadruple murder case was swiftly solved, and the culprit, a close family member, is now in police custody. Both cases have raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in the city, as such incidents point to deeply personal and violent motives.

Authorities Intensify Search

The Orangi Town stabbing has intensified the sense of urgency among law enforcement as they work to apprehend the suspect and ensure justice for the victims. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant while the investigation unfolds.

The Karachi police have increased patrols in affected areas and are cooperating with the victims’ family to gather more information.
