A storm of controversy has engulfed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has leveled serious accusations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging his complicity in protecting her alleged assailant, Bibhav Kumar.
In an interview with news agency ANI, Maliwal recounted the harrowing events of May 13, stating that she was assaulted by Bibhav Kumar at Kejriwal's residence. Despite the gravity of the incident, Maliwal claims she received no communication from Kejriwal and asserts that the Chief Minister is shielding the accused.
Describing the assault, Maliwal revealed, "He slapped me 7-8 times with full force. When I tried to push him away, he grabbed my leg and began to drag me. My head hit the centre table. I fell on the floor, after which he started kicking me."
Disturbingly, Maliwal lamented the lack of assistance despite her cries for help, highlighting the concerning silence that surrounded the ordeal.
When probed about potential motives behind the assault, Maliwal refrained from absolving anyone, emphasizing the ongoing investigation by the Delhi Police. However, she underscored the glaring fact that Kejriwal was present in the residence during the assault, raising questions about his alleged involvement.
In a resolute stance, Maliwal affirmed her commitment to seeking justice, urging women to stand up against injustice and vowing to fight against the perpetrators. As the controversy unfolds, the spotlight intensifies on AAP and its leadership, prompting calls for accountability and transparency. Stay tuned for further developments on this unfolding narrative.
