The son of Maulvi Ghulam Mohammad Ahmadi, the deputy governor of Afghanistan's Baghdis province, was reportedly among the terrorists killed in a security operation conducted in the Kalachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on the night between January 30 and 31.
Sources confirmed that Badruddin, also known as Yousuf, was one of the four members of the Fitna al-Khawarij terrorist group neutralized during the operation.
Recovery of Advanced Weaponry
Security forces recovered modern American-made weapons from the militants, including night vision devices, M16A4 rifles, and M24 sniper rifles.
Training and Involvement in Fitna al-Khawarij
According to sources, Badruddin initially received training at an Afghan Taliban training center before joining the Fitna al-Khawarij terrorist group.
Tensions with Afghan Authorities
Pakistan has repeatedly requested Afghan officials to recover the body of Badruddin, but the Afghan side has reportedly refused to comply.
Analysts Highlight Nexus
Security analysts believe this incident has further exposed the connection between the Afghan government and terrorist organizations, including Fitna al-Khawarij.
"The Afghan Taliban leadership still maintains ties with groups like Fitna al-Khawarij," said a security expert. The recovery of advanced weapons and the training of militants highlight the growing threat from the Afghan side, according to sources.
The incident underscores persistent concerns over cross-border terrorism and the need for more stringent cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan in combating extremist elements.
