Aleema Khan Rejects MPC Role in Talks, Signals Imminent Street Movement

Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, has clarified that the offer for political talks was not made by the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution (MPC), but directly by the Prime Minister.

Speaking to media at Factory Naka near Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan has directed the party to prepare for a street movement and that people will soon take to the streets. She stressed that the PTI founder’s incarceration is not for personal gain but a struggle for the rights of the people.

“We will not leave Imran Khan alone. He is not sitting in jail for himself, but for everyone,” she said, reiterating the party’s resolve to continue its political struggle.

Aleema Khan claimed that the government was under pressure, alleging that authorities were “scared” after Lahore was effectively shut down during Sohail Afridi’s recent visit. She described the public response as a sign of growing support for the PTI’s movement.

On the occasion, Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi also addressed the media, stating that the PTI’s movement would intensify in the coming days. She added that the party’s leadership stands firmly with Sohail Afridi and that the protest campaign will move forward with full force.

The statements come amid renewed political tension and ongoing speculation over possible dialogue between the government and PTI, as well as increasing signals from the party about launching mass protests.
