The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the temporary closure of specific air routes in the regions of Karachi and Lahore, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued on Monday.
As per the notification, designated air corridors in both regions will remain closed from March 3 to March 31, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm daily. During these hours, the specified routes will not be available for commercial flight operations.
The decision is expected to impact flight scheduling and routing for airlines operating in and out of the two major cities. Airlines may need to adjust flight paths or reschedule departures and arrivals to accommodate the temporary restrictions.
While the CAA did not publicly detail the operational reasons behind the closures, such NOTAMs are typically issued for airspace management, security measures, or operational requirements.
Passengers traveling during the specified dates are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated flight schedules and possible changes.
Further updates are expected if the restrictions are extended or revised.
