Tensions erupted in Karachi’s Manghopir area when a tanker driver refused to stop at a police checkpoint and allegedly attempted to kidnap a traffic officer. The incident quickly escalated into a violent clash between police personnel and a crowd that had gathered at the scene.

Police reports stated that the tanker driver ignored orders to stop and forcefully tried to take away the traffic officer who had halted the vehicle. The group attacked police officers with sticks and stones, leading to injuries for three officers identified as Razaq, Yaqoob, and Owais. The injured officers were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
