Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chairman of the Federal Judicial Academy, Justice Yahya Afridi, has ordered the return of five judicial officers from Punjab to the Lahore High Court (LHC). A notification has been issued, directing the officers to report back to LHC within the stipulated time as per the rules.
The judicial officers who were serving as directors in the Federal Judicial Academy on deputation include:
- Sessions Judge Jazeela Aslam
- Additional Sessions Judge Aamir Munir
- Dr. Rai Muhammad Khan
- Raja Jahanzeb Akhtar
- Civil Judge Shazia Munawar Makhdoom
According to sources, these officers were initially taken on deputation by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah during his tenure as in-charge of the Federal Judicial Academy. With Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb now assuming this role, the decision to return the officers was implemented.
The move is seen as part of the administrative restructuring within the judiciary, ensuring that judicial officers serve in their designated roles under the Lahore High Court’s jurisdiction.
